Viasat appS is an application that turns your mobile device into a unique tool for intelligent mobility and personal safety. Viasat appS offers Free features (Emergencies, Record Path, Traffic Info) and Premium features that require a Viasat service subscription. Free Features
Emergencies: allows you to contact key assistance numbers (law enforcement, card blocking, Viasat roadside assistance vehicle, personalized number, etc.).
Record Path: a handy service for recording any path being taken with your mobile device. The function involves activating path recording, periodically accumulating GPS points. Additionally, you can add points of interest (shops, restaurants, etc.). The path is saved in a standard format, viewable on map applications such as those of Google services. All recorded points include location data, date, time, speed, altitude, as well as time spent, distance in meters, and calories burned from the starting point depending on the activity type (walking, running, biking).
Traffic Info: a convenient service in collaboration with CCISS - Informed Travel, which allows you to view information on the status of Italian roads and highways (traffic, road conditions, accidents, interruptions, ongoing roadworks, speed cameras, etc.).

Premium Features
The Premium Features require a Viasat service subscription.
SoS Phone: activates a geolocated emergency call to the Viasat Operations Center with immediate and precise identification of the caller. Pressing the red "SOS" button for at least 3 seconds is required. If unable to speak, the Operations Center can identify the caller and locate the mobile device. Therefore, Viasat operators can autonomously and accurately determine the device's location (e.g., which kilometer marker on a highway). This enables immediate assistance and if needed, sending aid to the location.
Find Vehicle: enables viewing on a map of the last key-off (engine shutdown) position of your vehicle equipped with Viasat satellite device detected by the Operations Center.
Statistics: provides month-to-month consultation of traveled kilometers, vehicle usage statistics and graphically displays Viasat risk index (if applicable).
Viasat is a leader in assistance, safety and protection for individuals, vehicles, and fleets.
Geofence: allows setting up a circular virtual area centered on the vehicle. The radius is configurable upon function activation. Once active, geofence alerts if the vehicle has been outside the preset area for more than 30 consecutive seconds. Alerts are sent to the Operations Center and Customer's smartphone via push notification.
If multiple vehicles are linked to the service contract, desired plates can be selected from the smartphone functions menu.
Alarm Notifications: Push function enables receiving notifications for alarms automatically detected by the satellite device in case of theft or crash. User confirmation of the alarm situation is requested for Operations Center interventions and service improvement.

Holders of an "SoS Phone" contract within the "Traffic Info" function can activate "Info alert" service that vocally warns of possible critical situations in your direction of travel such as traffic jams or speed cameras.
